Common Gynecological cancers are:-

  • Cervical Cancer

  • Gestational Trophoblastic Disease (GTD)

  • Primary Peritoneal Cancer

  • Ovarian Cancer

  • Uterine/Endometrial Cancer

  • Vaginal Cancer

  • Vulvar Cancer

Out of all above , common cancers known are Ovarian cancers, Breast cancers  & Uterine cancers. Now days we put lot of emphasis on prescreening of these cancers with clinical, radiological, laboratory & specialised questionnaires .Female from adolescent to menopause are supposed to consult Gynecologist  to discuss & and get screened for them on need.

List of few self answered questions for screening of Ovarian Cancers:-

1. Do you have a mother, sister, daughter, aunt, niece, grandmother, granddaughter with breast cancer diagnosed       

     before 40 years of age?

2. Do you have a mother, sister, daughter, aunt, niece, grandmother, granddaughter with cancer in both breasts?

3. Do you have a mother, sister, daughter, aunt, niece, grandmother, granddaughter with breast or ovarian cancer, and

    two more relatives on the same side of the family (a mother, sister, daughter, aunt, niece, grandmother,

    granddaughter, first cousin, great grandmother or great aunt) with breast cancer?

4. Do you have a mother or sister or daughter or aunt or niece or grandmother or granddaughter with both breast and

    ovarian cancer?

5. Do you have a history of any male relatives with breast cancer?

6. Do you have two first degree relatives (mother or sister or daughter) with breast cancer, one of them diagnosed 

    before the age of 50?

7. Do you have two relatives on the same side of the family mother or sister or daughter or aunt or niece or grandmother

    or granddaughter with ovarian cancer?

8. Are you Jewish (Ashkenazi) and have two relative on the same side of the family (a mother, sister, daughter, aunt,

    niece, grandmother or granddaughter) with breast cancer or ovarian cancer?
